Mono Lake Committee
The Mono Lake Committee is a non-profit organization formed in 1978 with the objective to conserve Mono Lake’s delicate ecosystem and protect the lake from excessive water diversions to Los Angeles. I received the opportunity to assist them with developing merchandise they could sell to aid in their fundraising efforts.

Visual Identity
Throughout the various products, the client wanted Mono Lake’s unique characteristics to be at the forefront of their merchandise. I implemented this by showcasing Mono Lake’s funky looking Tufa Towers and its diverse animals and plant life.
Color Scheme
The color scheme was inspired by the different hues of Mono Lake, pulling from the sunsets, plants, earth and wildlife, to further represent the unique qualities of the lake’s ecosystem. I took those colors and bent them to be more quirky to get visitors of the lake and customers across the state excited about buying the products.
Special Thanks
It was such a pleasure working on this project. I learned about Mono Lake in California and am grateful that my work will help protect this ecosystem for generations to come! Lily, from their visitor center store, was great to work with and I hope to get the opportunity to create more impactful products in the future.
